SCOUTING

VFW Post 3010 is the Chartered Organization for three Scout units in our Lincoln community:  We actively support our scouting programs with funding and scholarships and are very proud of the scout leaders, volunteers, and kids that actively participate in many different community activities.  Visit their web pages for more information about the scouting programs.

Eagles Nest

VFW Post 3010 is very proud of our Eagle Scouts.  Troop 160 has young men becoming Eagle Scouts at a rate of five times the National Average.  This is a great testament to the character of the young men, their families, and the Scout leaders that support this program.

Cub Scouting is part of the Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), available to boys from first through fifth grade, or 7 to 11½ years of age and their families. Its membership is the largest of the three BSA divisions (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing). boyscout_logo Boy Scouting is a level of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA)  available to boys between the ages of 10 and eighteen. They are organized in Scout troops, administered by volunteers and provides youth training in character, citizenship, and mental and personal fitness. Boy Scouts are expected to develop personal religious values, learn the principles of American heritage and government, and acquire skills to become successful adults.  For additional information, check out our Boy Scout Troop 160

Venture Scouts

 

Venturing is part of the program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women. Members must be at least 14 years old, or 13 years old and have completed eighth grade, through age 21.  The purpose of Venturing is to provide positive experiences to help youth mature and to prepare them to become responsible adults.  For additional information, check out our Venture Crew 3010
